If you’re planning a trip to China you’ve got to look forward to the shopping! Set your ADT security Notre Dame alarm, talk to the newspaper delivery guy and get readyyou’re in for the shopping of a lifetime. Here are a few tips:
Get Ready to Haggle: Chinese shopping isn’t like it is here in America. You’re likely never expected to pay sticker price and can sometimes end up paying less than 10 of the original price! Don’t be afraid to get a better price!
Check for Authenticity: Be aware that good in China are notorious for being fake – check anything name brand back to front to see if it’s real and if in doubt, turn the other way. If you’re looking for a fake that’s fine, too, but don’t pay anywhere near what the original price is listed at.
Carry Cash: Not only do you not want to risk using your credit card in some of the seedier areas of China, many retailers don’t take them anyway. Unless you’re in Beijing or Shanghai you’re going to need to have cash to get some shopping done.

Shopping is one of the most favorite hobbies to do by citizens and tourists in China. It’s especially more popular for tourists because there are so many unique cultural items that have more quality than the Chinese items sold in other countries. One of the most popular items that is sold in America and widely spread in China is chinese lanterns. You can find them at home in malls but they won’t be quite as unique or as meaningful as when you purchase them in China. And there are plenty of oppurtunities to buy them while you’re over there.Didn-t catch that? This explains it.

China is full of popular cities that are great for shopping. Hong Kong of course happens to be one of the most happening cities over there. Others to follow would be Shenzhen and Taipei. When you’re in the cities, you will notice that as you walk down the road, there are lots of shops and vendors that are outside that have everything you can ever think of buying. You will surely find chinese lanterns by a selling vendor outside of a shop.

Like a mall, they also have indoor shopping strips that are popular in places like train stations and outside of train stations.

The best shopping mall in China is the South China Mall. this is a mall that is the largest in the world, ever since 2005. It is around 7.1 million square feet and the total area is 900,000 square meters. There are around 1,500 stores that can be leased, or have been leased. The best part about this mall is the way it was made. It was modeled on international cities so there are different regions and zones. For example, one zone will be Paris (or France). In this zone anything that is made by a famous French designer or designing company will be present. The same goes for the Italian, English, United States and Egyptian Zones. This is an amazing way to shop and it is a great feeling when you enter this mall. However, there are a lot of empty stores as it is not the best location.

There are other great malls in Shanghai and Beijing as well. Most of these shopping complexes have many designer shops in one areas so you do not even have to go very far to get all the great things you want to buy. That is why visiting Chinese cities is so great, you can almost buy anything you want!
